The Sweet Leaf Tea Company announced today, Thursday, Dec. 10 that it is voluntarily recalling Sweet Leaf Tea in 16-oz. glass bottles as an act of caution. The company says there is a possible presence of glass fragments in its bottles, due to a breakage during the filling process.
Consumers could potentially be cut or injured if swallowed. The company has received four complaints of glass in the product, but no injuries have been reported.

The Sweet Leaf Tea Company says it is committed to ensuring the quality and safety of all of its products. All recalled products are being removed from store shelves. Consumers who have any of the glass products with the affected date codes should not drink the product, and if a consumer is unsure if his or her product is impacted, contact the Sweet Leaf toll-free number 1-877-832-5323 Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST.
