Too Faced Brow Envy Shaping and Defining Kit
Beauty trendsetters Too Faced Cosmetics have collaborated with HCT CA to give their best-selling Brow Envy Kit a makeover. Having provided a full service for the original kit; the HCT CA team set about updating the packaging and formulas to create the ultimate palette to hold everything you need to shape, define, fill, and set brows. Featuring a discrete drawer to house the brow stencils and pencil, this foolproof kit also features brow wax and powder to tame and define, tweezers to shape, brushes for application, and a new highlighting powder and step-by-step instructions explaining how to use each product and tool inside. Nick Gardner, executive v.p. at HCT CA comments: “The Too Faced Brow Envy kit contains everything you need to create perfectly groomed brows with the right tools and products to cover all bases. The pack we used is the same one used for the incredibly popular Too Faced Eye palettes; with the pull out drawer allowing for more items to fit into this kit. We use reinforced cardboard to provide sturdy and protective packaging whilst also ensuring all the formulas are of a high quality.”

L’Occitane Fleur Chérie Make-Up Collection
HCT France collaborates once again with French beauty brand L’Occitane to manufacture the packaging for their new make up range, Fleur Chérie. Choosing the same design used for the L’Occitane Peony Collection, the card components are lightweight yet sturdy enough to protect the delicate product inside. An intricate hot foil stamped flower pattern is added to the paper wrap and pays tribute to the orange blossom. Jiaying Shen, project manager HCT France comments: “With Fleur Chérie, l'Occitane continues their success in the field of makeup. We developed the cardboard lipsticks and the spiral box for the radiance face powder pearls. The challenge was to ensure a good cardboard construction, but also to adjust and achieve the perfect colors in accordance to the range. A cardboard packaging is not as easy as it seems to be! It's so exciting to see this new collection in shops after one year’s work and wait.”

VIE at home Bedazzled Eyeshadow Collection
VIE at home’s A/W 2010 collection is high on the sparkle factor with the limited edition, travel friendly, Bedazzled Eyeshadow palettes transforming your look from day to night. HCT Packaging provided a full service for VIE at home; creating two kits each consisting of three highly blendable, domed eyeshadows. The “Enchanted” palette is composed of warm golden hues that are ideal for a daytime look; while “Spellbound” allows the user to create a sophisticated modern take on the smoky eye making this palette perfect for the evening. Angela Umelo, formulation technologist at HCT Packaging comments: “The shades are in line with the winter trends for the customers Bedazzled magical theme, with the formula containing quite a high concentration of glass pearls to achieve an intense glittery look that is perfect for day and night. The eyeshadows can also be used wet to allow the user to achieve a more intense look.” VIE at home chose from HCT’s extensive stock range with the small and compact palette featuring a mirror and miniature applicator. The kit also contains a protective inner cover for the domed eyeshadows, ensuring that no product is transferred onto the mirror.

Hourglass Extreme Sheen Lipgloss
Known for their super sleek luxury packaging, Hourglass consulted HCT CA to update the packaging for their best selling Extreme Sheen High Shine Lipgloss. Choosing from HCT’s existing stock catalog, Hourglass chose the casimir design from the new range of slim pocket gloss containers, to compliment the brands additional lipgloss, the Prodigy, which was also manufactured by HCT. A vac-metalized shell with silk screen logo gives the packaging the signature Hourglass look and feel with a slender synthetic brush for precise application. Winnie Sung, project manager at HCT CA comments: “This lip gloss shape is so unique and different from the classic cylindrical or square lip gloss packages. The shape is extremely sleek and the size is perfect for slipping into your handbag or clutch without taking up too much space. The Casimir, which is a part of our expanding stock flat components range, is designed with today’s woman on-the-go lifestyle in mind, which is why it is perfect for Hourglass. The Casimir not only fits seamlessly into the Hourglass brand (a perfect compliment to the Prodigy) but serves as a dual purpose of being extremely luxurious but completely functional as well.”

Dermoshop Devoted Christmas Set Collection
Launched exclusively for Christmas 2010, the limited edition brush set by Dermoshop consists of four high quality make-up brushes designed to achieve flawless application to the eye and face area. Each of the brushes are crafted with aluminum handles with the face and eyeshadow brushes featuring silky soft natural bristles to ensure optimum product pick up and application. The eyeliner brush is made of synthetic bristles that work well for both liquid and dry liner formulations and ensure the brush keeps its slanted fine edge making it easier to draw precision lines. The brushes are custom screen-printed with the Dermoshop logo on each handle, and encased in a protective zip lock case for safe transportation whilst on the go. Olivia Thornley, project manager at HCT Packaging comments: “We created a special, unique Christmas gift for Dermoshop by creating a high-quality brush set inside a leather effect debossed pouch along with a decorative card sleeve and a card instruction sheet, explaining to the customer how to use each of the brushes.
